UCA Family,
We are now beginning our third week of school, and September Home Leave is coming up quickly!
Friday Morning Prayer Time
Each Friday at 8:00 a.m. we meet in the lobby of the Administration Building to pray for specific staff members, students, and events happening at UCA. Please join us if you can, either in person, or wherever you are. This week we are praying for staff members Sheila and Dennis Allison and Sidney Allison, as well as for the grandparents of our students. We appreciate the influence of grandparents on our campus. (Don’t forget Grandparents’ Day on September 8.)
Junior Backpacking Trip
Juniors who are enrolled in Backpacking Class will load the bus at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6, at the flagpole. They will be hiking to Independence Creek, a 16 mile round-trip hike. They will return to campus at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 8. (This is an estimated return time). If you would like more information, please email Cindy Williams at cindy.williams@ucaa.org.
Freshman Retreat
The Freshman Retreat will take place September 6-8, 2019. Freshmen will load the bus at the flagpole at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, September 6, and return to campus on Sunday in time for breakfast in the cafeteria at 10:00 a.m. Please see the attached Freshman Retreat information for more details. Senior Survival
Seniors will load the buses at the flagpole on Sunday morning, September 8, at 10:45 a.m. They will return to campus on Friday, September 13. For more information, see attached document. Senior Survival PreLetter 19-20
Home Leave
Just a reminder: Home Leave is almost here. Students will be dismissed from classes at 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18. Classes resume on Monday, September 23. Dorm students will be receiving an email from Charles Hartman about Home Leave transportation. Students will need to respond to the email in order to reserve their spots on the Home Leave buses.
