This Week@UCA October 5, 2018
Dear UCA Family,
It is definitely fall here on our campus. The air is crisp and the leaves are beginning to turn beautiful colors. There are a number of things happening this week at UCA, so be sure to read on for all the details.
PRAYER TIME
During our Monday morning prayer time on October 8, we will be praying for the Freshman boys, for our piano teacher, Debra Bakland, and for Christin Beierle, our taskforce volunteer girls’ dean. Thank you for joining us in prayer for our school!
WEEK OF PRAYER
Next week, October 8-13, is our fall Week of Prayer. Jeff Wines will be the speaker. We invite you to join us in prayer for our students and staff during this important week. The meetings are in the UCA Church and will be at 11:40 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday is HOPE day, so there is no morning meeting, but the evening meeting will be at 6:40. On Friday, the morning meeting is at 11:10 a.m. and the evening meeting is at 7:30 p.m. The Week of Prayer will finish with our church service at 11 a.m. on Sabbath. We encourage day students to attend the evening and weekend meetings if at all possible.
HOPE DAY
HOPE day is next Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Please check the hallway of the administration building for the posted HOPE project lists. They will be posted early next week.
SCHOOL PICTURES
Picture day is October 9. If you plan to order pictures from Dorian, your student needs to take the order form and payment with them when they get their picture taken. Pictures will be taken in the photo lab in the Industrial Arts building from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or if needed, they will be finishing from 12:20-1:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary. However, if you want to make an appointment, there is a sign-up sheet in the Principal’s Office. If you have an appointment, you can go to the front of the line at your appointment time.
FALL CLASSIC
The Varsity Soccer team and the Varsity Volleyball team will be going to Walla Walla University for Fall Classic, October 4-7. The buses will be loading Thursday, October 4, at 7:20 a.m. at the Flagpole. Please see attached documents for day schedules and tournament game times and locations. HOME LEAVE SCHEDULE AND TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
Please see the attached schedule for home leaves and the home leave transportation schedule and information. If you have questions, please email Kris at kris.dalrymple@ucaa.org or Charles at charles.hartman@ucaa.org.
AMATEUR HOUR AUDITIONS
Amateur Hour is coming up soon, and auditions are on October 16, 2018. If you would like to be in the program, please see your deans or music teachers for an audition application. You must fill out this application in order to get an audition. Please turn in the applications to the girl’s deans by October 14, 2018.
SENIOR INFORMATION
Senior pictures, Senior Yearbook Tributes, and Senior Graduation Tribute photos are due on October 26, 2018.
