What an eventful week here on campus. Our junior students were doing their internship this week. They had to privilege to job shadow an employee in their field of interest. Midterm was this week as well. The end of the school year is fast approaching.

Dear Senior UCA Families,
I am sure you and your student are super excited about upcoming events in your senior’s final year of high school. The nervous excitement can be felt on campus. The first weekend in March is the one event that we are very involved in as a class – Senior Recognition! This year’s theme is “We’re Still Kids.” Senior Recognition is the once-a-year fundraiser that can save our very low funds. Our class has been hit every year and we have been allowed very few fundraising opportunities. What can be done to help? So glad you asked!!
- Purchasing a table – $120 (seats 8 guest comfortably)
- Each table includes – food for the evening and activities
- UCA students will receive dinner at the cafeteria
- Only tables will have dinner served at their table.
- Food for sale – Prepackaged veggies & cheese tamales ($25) & bean, rice, & cheese burritos ($18) will be sold by the dozen at intermission at the back of the gym
- Donating things for the silent auction
- We are looking for baskets
- Large donations
- Any donation really
- Donating dessert options
- We will have a Dessert Bidding War
- The highest bidder will be given first choice of the desserts
- Encouraging your senior to participate
- Our Saturday evening program is put on just by our class
- Volunteering – If you would like to help set-up, man our silent auction, sell items in the back of the gym, make baskets for the silent auction, etc please contact me at judy.castrejon@ucaa.org
