Dear UCA Family,
Things are getting busy on our campus this week as we prepare for students to return for this coming school year! We are excited to get off to a great start, and we’re looking forward to seeing old friends and all the new faces at registration on Sunday! Please read through the information in this post so you are aware of what is happening on campus the first week of school. See you soon!
REGISTRATION DAY, August 26, 2018
Please plan to join us in the UCA Cafeteria at 9 a.m. for the Parent Orientation Breakfast. You will have an opportunity to meet the UCA teachers and staff, and hear important information about new programs and policies for the coming school year. Registration will start in the gym immediately following the breakfast meeting.
MEALS ON REGISTRATION DAY
Lunch and supper are provided for all day and dorm students. Parents and other family members are welcome to purchase meals. There are two meal tickets included in the registration packet, and family members are welcome to use them on registration day or save them for a future visit to campus. If you wish to purchase meals on Sunday, you can pay with cash or check at the cafeteria and the cost will be $7 per meal. If you wish to charge the meals on a student account, the cost is $8 per meal.
ASB WORSHIP AND HANDSHAKE
On Sunday evening at 5:45, the ASB Worship and Handshake will take place on the Plaza.
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
On Monday, August 27, we will meet in the Assembly Hall at 8 a.m. for an all-school orientation. Afternoon classes will follow the regular A schedule for everyone except Freshmen. Freshmen will meet with Mrs. Melendy for testing in the Girls’ Dorm Chapel. The rest of the week will follow the regular schedule, not Week of Prayer schedule as noted on the calendar.
DAY STUDENT MEALS
Each year UCA has a number of special functions which include meals for our day students. Please see the Day Student Meal list attached.
ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT
Soccer tryouts will take place on the UCA field at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, August 27.
Volleyball tryouts will take place in the UCA gym at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, August 27.
