SENIOR COUNTDOWN!

CHORAL/ORCHESTRA CONCERT IN SPOKANE VALLEY
The final choral/orchestra concert of the year will be held this Friday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the Spokane Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 1601 S Sullivan Rd, Spokane Valley, WA.  If you are in the area, please come and join us!  The attached class schedule will be used on that Friday.

SACRED BAND CONCERT/GYMNASTICS HOME SHOW
The Sacred Band Concert will be held in the UCA Church this Sabbath, May 19, at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Gymnastics Home Show at 9:15 p.m. in the gymnasium.  We hope you are able to attend and enjoy our students’ talents as we close the school year.

MEALS FOR GRADUATION WEEKEND
If your family is planning to eat any meals in the cafeteria over graduation weekend, please let us know by Monday, May 28, how many meals you will need and how many people are in your group.  You may contact Mrs. Ochoa in the business office at (509) 245-3618 to make reservations.  Thank you so much for this consideration as it helps us to know how to plan.  The meal schedule and charges below:

LAST-WEEK-OF-SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
We value your student’s education very much and we want them to be able to complete all required schoolwork in the time given and without added stress as the year comes to a close.  For this reason, all students are required to attend all of their classes the last week of school unless there is a family emergency or specific family event.  Please make your plans with this in mind to avoid unwanted surprises at the end of the year.

TEXT & LIBRARY BOOK RETURN
Please see the attached flyer for due dates.  Parents, please encourage your student to wait until the librarian has verified that they have returned all of their books.  It is possible that they will return a textbook, thinking it is theirs, but the bar code shows that it is checked out to someone else.  That will help their friend, but they will still be responsible for their own book.

STUDENT SUMMER JOBS
Is your student looking for summer work?  Summer employment is available at UCA to any student who is accepted and planning to attend for the 2018-19 school year.  All positions require motivated workers with strong work ethic, integrity, a cheerful attitude, and willingness to serve.  There are openings that are only for a few weeks and others last all summer long.  We have positions available in the cafeteria, dorms, farm, IT office, grounds/maintenance, and recruiting.  Transportation and housing are not provided.  For more information, please contact Nancy Starr at (509) 245-3610 or nancy.starr@ucaa.org.
