This Week at UCA – 4/17/17

WEEK OF PRAYER
Week of Prayer begins today! Our speaker is Sergio Manente, who is a pastor in Richland, WA, and his theme for this week is “Fearless”. Our staff is united in praying around the clock for the Holy Spirit to descend in power. Please pray with us that students and staff will grow closer to Jesus and that lives will be changed. We will be using the Week of Prayer schedule, which is attached.
ACT – JUNIORS AND SENIORS
Juniors and seniors will be taking the ACT this Wednesday, April 19, from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. Check-in is at 7:50 a.m. in their assigned classroom. Their classes will not meet, but they need to keep work appointments in the afternoon, as previously arranged with their supervisors. Attendance to the Week of Prayer morning meeting is required when they are done testing, so they need to come in week of prayer dress.
Freshmen and Sophomores will work in the morning and will go to classes from 1:15 p.m., according to our week of prayer schedule. Their schedule will be posted on the bulletin boards on Monday and teachers will inform them of that as well. They also need to talk to their supervisors ahead of time about their work schedule for that day. Band and Choraliers will meet at the regular time.
HOPE DAY – DAY STUDENTS
HOPE Taskforce Day is this Thursday, April 20! Our school will be going out to serve people in the surrounding communities, so there will be no classes or work that day. Please sign up in the front office by Wednesday morning if you need to be picked up and/or dropped off at Yoke’s, and if you are on the meal plan and need a sack lunch. The address for Yoke’s Store is 4235 Cheney-Spokane Road. Please see times below:

Remember, there will be school on SUNDAY, April 23, with a regular class schedule. Home leave starts on Wednesday, the 26th!
HOME-LEAVE BUS
Home leave begins at 12:12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, and classes resume on Monday, May 1, 2017. Please see the shortened schedule for home leave attached. Students planning to ride on the UCA home-leave buses should respond to the transportation email by Friday, April 21. The home-leave bus schedule is also attached.
