Dear UCA Family,
1Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
3who FORGIVES all your iniquity, who HEALS all your diseases,
4 who REDEEMS your life from the pit, who CROWNS you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who SATISFIES you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5
2015-2016 Home Leave Bus Schedule
Spring Week of Prayer begins this coming Monday, April 18, and continues through Sabbath Worship, April 23. Our guest speaker is Greg Phillips. We cannot wait to see what the Lord will do here at UCA if we give Him permission, so please pray for a willing heart and spirit for each of us (students and staff) and for Pastor Greg. We will be using the Week of Prayer schedule, which is attached. Thank you for your prayers!

ACT EXAM – ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS!!
All Juniors and Seniors will be taking ACT tests Tuesday morning, April 19, beginning at 7:55 a.m. These exams are important to help students qualify for scholarships and gain admission to colleges and universities. Students will go to lunch right after the tests are completed, between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. There are no classes for juniors and seniors in the afternoon, except individually arranged work schedule and music lessons. Students please make prior arrangements with work supervisors and music teachers.
FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES will have no classes in the morning. Students please make arrangements with work supervisors and music teachers to work and have individual music lessons in the morning. The Gym, Music Building, and Library will be open and supervised. Week of Prayer for freshmen and sophomores will be at 11:50 a.m., and they will go directly to lunch following the meeting.
DAY STUDENTS – HOPE TASKFORCE
Hope Taskforce is Wednesday, April 20. Please remember to check the Ad Building bulletin boards to see what project and what time you are signed up for. Parents of day students, if you would like your student to be picked up at Trading Company Store on Hwy 195 instead of having to drop them off at UCA, please contact Amanda Goad prior to that day. She may be reached at (509) 245-3685.
HOME-LEAVE BUS
Students planning to ride the UCA home-leave buses should sign-up in the business office by Friday, April 22. The schedule is attached. It is very important for parents to be early at the drop-off/pick-up points. The bus driver is on a very tight schedule, and it affects everyone if they wait for late arrivals. Thank you for helping us be on time by ensuring your student is on time.
STUDENTS IN HIS SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
The Upper Columbia Office of Education is now accepting applications for the Students in His Service scholarship program for the 2016 summer. This scholarship is a three way scholarship funded equally by the UCC Office of Education, UCC Adventist Community Services Grant funds and the student’s home church. It is available to students who volunteer in service to their communities and will be in grades 1-12 for the 2016-17 school year. Check out the guidelines at uccsda.org/Education/Scholarships. Applications may only be made online at the UCC Education website (uccsda.org/Education), until May 15, 2016.
STUDENT SUMMER JOBS
Is your student needing summer work? Summer jobs are available at UCA in several different areas, some for a few weeks and others all summer long. Student workers will need to have their own off-campus housing, as the dorms and cafeteria will not be available for their use. For more information, please contact Nancy Starr at (509) 245-3610 or nancy.starr@ucaa.org.
