PARENT/GRANDPARENT WEEKEND
This special weekend is almost here and we hope you can join us! Please see the schedule of events attached and the information below.
MEALS
Sabbath lunch will be complimentary for immediate family. Please contact the business office at (509) 245-3618 to purchase meal tickets. They will not be sold during Sabbath hours. The meal prices are as follows:
Children (0-5 years) | Free |
Children (6-10 years) | $6, Cash price is $5 |
Adults (11 years and up) | $8, Cash price is $7 |
PARENT MEETING
There will be a parent meeting with our principal, Eric Johnson, on Saturday evening from 4:30 -5:15 p.m., in the cafeteria. He would like to share important information regarding where UCA is headed as a school and review the data from the parent survey.
AMATEUR HOUR/SILENT AUCTION
Men’s Club is planning Amateur Hour this year. This talent program is on Saturday night, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free. We would love for all of you to be there! We expect it to be a great show, as so many of our students are incredibly talented. Please also come hungry; we are selling concessions before and during the show.
Besides selling food, we have a few other fund-raising opportunities going on during the evening to help support our Men’s Club and the dorm. We have 30 tables available for purchase that are located close to the stage. The cost is $75 per table and each table holds 6 people. If you need another chair or two, a table can accommodate up to 8 people for an extra $10 charge per chair. Snacks, drinks, and dessert are supplied to those who purchase a table. If you are interested in purchasing a table, please call soon, as tables often sell out quickly. The cafeteria will not open for supper that evening to support the fund-raising activities.
We also have a Silent Auction going on during the show. This year we have some very exciting items that have been donated, including stays at hotels, restaurant gift cards, and more. If you would like to donate items to our Silent Auction, we would very much appreciate the donations, including gift baskets, baked goods, and gift cards. If you have other ideas for donation items, just give us a call! We welcome parent volunteers to help with the silent auction, concessions and preparing food. We also appreciate the donation of time and the gift of prayer. Thank you for your support!
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES will be held Sunday morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Teachers will be in the gym to talk with you about your student’s progress. No appointments are necessary.
SPECIAL SENIOR BRUNCH
The Seniors class will be making brunch for you on Sunday, November 19, at 10 a.m. in the cafeteria. Meal tickets are $8, $7 if paying in cash or check, and they can be purchased in the business office. The money raised will go to support the expenses of the senior class. Thank you for supporting our seniors.
SCHOOL DAY – SUNDAY
As we are having parent-teacher conferences on Sunday, November 19, that is considered a school day. Special guest, Carl Wilkens, will give a student workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the cafeteria. This is required for all students and attendance will be taken. Please ensure your student is present unless an absence request has been previously approved. If you and your child need to talk to teachers, please see them early so your student is free to attend the workshop. Thank you!
PROGRAM LIVE-STREAMING
If you are unable to attend that weekend but would like to join in the celebration, we will be live streaming Vespers, Sabbath School, the Worship Service, and Amateur Hour. To view, please go to www.ucaa.org/live. No password is needed.
