Last Thursday, we held our Gymnastics Clinic, which is an every-other-year event.  It was incredibly fun and rewarding to watch 165 students from all over the UCC and even from Montana have a great time participating in our gymnastics clinic! The gymnastics team did a phenomenal job teaching and  our guests, and then the participants put on a gymnastics show at the end of the day.  What an experience for our students to be able to pass on to others the skills they have been taught and also show that God can be in the center of everything we do!

PERFECT ATTENDANCE
Congratulations to the 42 students, who had perfect attendance this past quarter! Every quarter we throw a perfect attendance party to recognize their achievement.  Please encourage your student to strive for good attendance this quarter as we head toward Christmas break and beyond.

PSAT – JUNIORS
Juniors will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, November 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  Students will be expected to attend all appointments outside the testing time except first period.  All 7:15 classes for juniors will not meet.  Morning appointments will be administratively excused, but afternoon appointments must  be kept.

PARENT WEEKEND/PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent Weekend is an opportunity for you to enjoy spending valuable time with your child and experience a little of their life here at UCA.  Please join us November 11-13 for this special weekend.  Attached is a schedule of events.  This is also a perfect opportunity to visit with and get to know the staff.  It’s always a pleasure for us to meet the families of our students.

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held Sunday morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Teachers will be in the gym to talk with you about your student’s progress.  No appointments are necessary.  Parents are always welcome to contact teachers by phone or email if they have questions.

MEALS FOR PARENT WEEKEND
Sabbath lunch will be complimentary for immediate family.  Please contact the Business Office at (509) 245-3618 to purchase meal tickets, as tickets will not be sold during Sabbath hours.  The meal prices are as follows:

PARENT WEEKEND – LIVE STREAM
If you are unable to attend Parent Weekend but would like to join in the celebration, we will be live streaming Friday Vespers, Sabbath School, Worship Service, and Amateur Hour.  To view it, please go to www.ucaa.org/live.  No password is needed.

AMATEUR HOUR
Amateur Hour will be on Saturday night of Parent Weekend at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free, and we would love to have you all come.  We expect it to be a great show, as our students are incredibly talented.  We are selling concessions before and during the show, including burgers, popcorn, drinks, and desserts.  Besides selling food, we have a few other fund-raising opportunities going on during the evening to help support our Guys’ and Girls’ Clubs.  We have 35 tables available to purchase that are located toward the stage.  The cost is $60 per table and each table holds 6 people.  If you need another chair or two, a table can accommodate up to 8 people for an extra $10 charge per chair.  Snacks, drinks, and dessert are supplied to those who purchase a table.  If you are not purchasing a table, you can still buy food before and during the show.

We also have a Silent Auction going on during the show.  If you would like to donate items for our silent auction, we would very much appreciate donations including gift baskets, baked goods, and gift cards.  If you own a business or work for a company that could donate items or services, we would appreciate that as well.  We welcome Parent volunteers to help with the silent auction, concessions and preparing food.
