Dear UCA Family,

WEEK OF PRAYER
Week of Prayer is this week through Sabbath morning worship, October 14.  Our speaker is Jason Calvert, Youth Pastor of the Kettering Church in Ohio.  We will be using the Week of Prayer schedule, which is attached.  Please keep Pastor Calvert and our campus in your prayers, that the Holy Spirit will come in power and draw us closer to Jesus.  Correction:  Pastor Colvert leads a youth ministry at his church called “Perichoresis”, which is quite distinct and separate from ‘Perichoresis Ministries’, as was stated in error in last week’s email.  Our apologies for the misunderstanding.

HOPE DAY – DAY STUDENTS
This Wednesday, October 11, is HOPE Taskforce Day!  Village students who need to be picked-up/dropped-off at the Yoke’s Store and those on the meal plan who need a lunch, please sign up in the front office today.  If you request a lunch, you need to pick it up or ask a friend to get it for you at breakfast on Wednesday morning.  Lunches will not be made for those whose names are not on the list.   Those on the Journey to Bethlehem project need to go directly to the South Hill SDA Church or leave from campus, as they will not be picked up at Yoke’s. The transportation schedule is below:

SUNDAY SCHOOL – DAY STUDENTS
Remember, there will be school this SUNDAY, October 15, with a regular class schedule.  Home leave starts on Wednesday, the 18th!

SENIOR PARENTS
Extensions to submit the senior yearbook photo end this Friday, October 13.  Seniors, please check the bulletin boards to confirm that we have received your senior photo.

SENIOR TRIBUTES
Senior tributes are due Monday, October 23, to yearbook@ucaa.org.  Please let us know whether you would like to have one for your senior and we will make sure to reserve a space for you. If you need help designing it please contact us and we can design it for you.  Thank you for keeping UCA standards and dress code in mind.

SENIOR PICTURES
Please send four baby and grade school pictures to seniors@ucaa.org by Monday, October 23.  These are to be included in the senior slideshow on Graduation Weekend.

PSAT – Juniors
All juniors are required to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 25.  The test begins at 8:00 a.m. and finishes around noon.  Students will be expected to attend all appointments after testing time.  All 7:35 classes for juniors will not meet.

TECHNICARTS FAIR
TechnicArts Fair 2017 is coming up!  This fun event will take place on Thursday, October 26, from 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.,  and is designed for children grades 7 and up.  Register online at www.ucaa.org/technicarts, while there is still room.  But hurry, we are almost full!  For more information, call Shelley Bacon at (509) 245-3680.
