This Week@UCA September 4-10, 2020
Greetings UCA Family,
Today as I was pondering what to write about, hymn 101 Children of the Heavenly Father, came to mind. I would encourage you to read the words or sing it at church this weekend. When I talk to my family in Canada, I say things like “our kids, my kids, the kids”. My family usually asks for clarification if I’m referring to my biological kids or the kids at school. Parents and grandparents, know that your kids are our kids as well. Thanks for sharing. Every Friday morning at 8 am, in the lobby of the Ad Building, we pray for specific people and events. This week we are praying for Curtis and Bridget Anderson and H.O.P.E. (helping other people everywhere) Day Program. If you are on campus, we would love to have you join us. If not, please pray with us where you are. This will be our prayer focus this coming week as well.
Weekend Activities
Freshman leave Friday afternoon from the flagpole at 3:45 pm for their annual retreat weekend. They are scheduled to return Sunday morning. Sabbath School and Church will continue to be outdoors for the month of September. Sabbath afternoon, a hike is scheduled for 2:00. Outdoor movie in the fire bowl is the Saturday night activity. Movie starts at 7:45 pm.
