Dear UCA Family,

Welcome to the family!  Whether your student is returning or this is their first year, we are so blessed to have them on campus.  Every year we see miracles happen that allow students to be at UCA, and this year is no exception.  God has blessed in a powerful way.  Thank you to all who are sponsoring our young people for letting God use you.  Only in eternity will we know the full impact of your giving.

The goal of these weekly emails is to keep you informed about what is going on at UCA. We hope they will also help keep you connected.

FRIDAY’S SCHEDULE/REGULAR SCHEDULE

ASB AGAPE VESPERS/CAMPUS DEDICATION
This Friday at 6 p.m. there will be a special agape feast for all students in the cafeteria followed by vespers at the Willow Trees grassy area, by the RV parking.  Our campus dedication service will be this Sabbath at 3:00 p.m., in front of the Administration Building.  Staff and students will gather together to pray for a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our campus to guide and bless us, and to keep us close to Jesus this year.  Parents and families are all welcome to join us.

ASB CLASS NIGHT
This Saturday night at 8:15 will be Class Night.  This is a fun evening where the kids get to know each other better and have some friendly class on class competitions.  The event will begin in the gym and transition to the field for games and more fun.  Students are encouraged to show school spirit in their class colors.  Freshman wear green, Sophomores blue, Juniors red, and Seniors white.  We ask students to maintain modesty.  Thank you!

BACKPACKING TRIP
The Backpacking Trip will depart at 9:00 a.m. next Friday, September 1, and return by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3.  They are going to Independence Creek in North Idaho.  Please contact Cindy Williams at Cindy.Williams@ucaa.org, or (509) 245-3616 if you have questions.

FRESHMAN RETREAT
Freshmen will depart for their camp out at 3:15 p.m. next Friday, September 1, and return by approximately 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 3.  If you have questions, please contact Dean Hess at joe.hess@ucaa.org or (509) 245-3641.

LABOR DAY – REGULAR SCHOOL DAY
Labor Day, September 4, is a regular school day.

FALL PICNIC – DATE CHANGE
The Fall Picnic will be at Camp MiVoden on Tuesday, September 5, and not August 29 as initially planned.  The schedule is below:
