Introduction to Psychology 

  1. Social Foundations (PSYC 140): 1st semester 

  2. Biological Foundations (PSYC 141): 2nd semester

Introduction to Psychology through Walla Walla University is a two quarter sequence required for psychology and pre-med majors. All students are required to have at least one social science class, and the class also counts towards general elective hours. At UCA, one college class will be taught each semester. Applicants to the class are required to attend both semesters.

Requirements

  • Class Maximum: 20 students
  • 3.5 GPA
  • Talk to a current Psychology student to review expectations
  • Current English III/Honors grade is at least a B
  • Understanding of Biology and Chemistry
  • Junior or Senior Class Standing
  • One formal writing sample—Must be in MLA and include at least one citation
    • Formal paper from a junior class or
    • One page review on an article on the website BigThink (see linked form)
